The main objective of the Information and Referral Center of Greater Montréal’s Foundation is committed to supporting the Grand Montréal Reference Center (CRGM) in fulfilling its mission, providing information to help, supporting its development, and managing donations.
The Foundation relies on the valuable support and expertise of the members of its board of directors.
The Foundation reiterates the values of the CRGM:
Empathy: Attentive and empathetic listening helps to understand the needs of individuals, to fully grasp their situation, and to provide appropriate and high-quality information.
Rigor: The Center places great importance on the accuracy of the information contained in its databases, which list community, public, and parapublic resources, as well as addiction resources in Québec, ensuring that the information and referrals provided to those seeking help are as precise and tailored to their situation as possible. Managers conduct follow-up work to ensure the quality of the services provided. All employees are entitled to continuing education hours and are encouraged to improve their skills.
Collaboration: The Center collaborates with the healthcare and social services sectors, elected officials and municipalities, researchers, the community network, and many other partners. This collaborative approach is essential to the development of its services and teams, its reputation, and the quality of its interventions with citizens.
Independence: The Center is committed to managing and operating its services independently. Its values and internal management practices cannot be influenced by the funding it receives.
Since 1985, the Foundation has also been responsible for managing the property located at 3155 Hochelaga Street, which it owns, and where the Center’s offices, as well as those of several other non-profit organizations, are located.
In 2022, for the first time in its history, the Foundation began soliciting donations in order to secure support for the CRGM’s mission, providing information to help, and ensuring its sustainability and development.
