Honorary Members

Are you concerned about social issues? Do you want to help? By becoming an honorary member of the Information and Referral Center of Greater Montréal’s Foundation, you will be helping more than 70 000 fellow citizens each year.

Contributions from community organizations such as the Information and Referral Center are indispensable to the maintenance and well-being of our human community.

Throughout the years, social information has taken on new dimensions.

Since 1956, requests for help and information have been arriving daily by the hundreds. For example:

For food assistance;
For help regarding substance abuse, budgeting and debt solutions;
For information and referral regarding income security, employment insurance and job search;
For information regarding health issues such as Alzheimer’s, cancer, heart disease, diabetes and obesity;
For referrals regarding mental health problems or support groups;
For help and information regarding private retirement homes for seniors.

It is incumbent upon our society

To ensure the livelihood of thousands of people out of work within the socio-economic structure we see emerging.

It is also our responsibility

To respect the dignity of these people, to safeguard their rights and their access to health and social services.
